My name is unimportant, all you need to know is that I'm a teenager, and that I'm a senior in a high school based in the South. These are observations from me, and no one else. That's all they are; observations. You can take them how you will, but you don't have to agree with me, because they are views of what we are through the eyes of one, not many. So, here we go.

We are a generation full of druggies, kids addicted to pot, and crack, and other substances. We are addicted to alcohol in any form it can come in, and we have little regard for what happens to others as long as we get what we want, when we want it. My generation is full of pregnant girls, and the boys who were too cocky. And they have to live with the choices that they make for the rest of their lives.

We are a generation of people who make up excuses for one thing or another, just so we don't have to go someplace, or do something. And we are a generation of lost faith. Hypocrisy is a daily task; on the agenda from the time we wake up in the morning, till we go to sleep at night. We are lost Christians, Atheists, and Agnostics, Wiccans, Satanists, and every other religion in the world, all rolled into one. We talk and we fight about what we believe in, based on how we were raised, or the choices that we've made. We are a generation of lost spirituality. We live lives of sin, and we don't give a damn what happens. We doubt Heaven, Hell, and God and the Devil, and their places in our lives.

We are a generation not in the mood for politics, Anarchists in our own right. We don't play by the rules; we make our own for the game that life has become. But it's a game that is so deadly. This is because we are a generation raised on genocide, and murder. We watch wars on TV and we have killers in our back yard. We are a generation of depression riddled spirits, where suicide is on the rise.

We are a cracked generation. But we are your children, your grandchildren, your brothers, your sisters, and friends. We are the people you love, hate, pray for, and curse. We are kids who are tormented within our own minds, changed by the system that we're taught during school.

We love to hate, and hate to love. We lie, cheat and steal.

But what can you do? We are the kids going through a life long phase – one that can't be fixed with drugs or therapy. It's a phase that only time can help us grow out of.

We are the youth of the nation, and we are the future.
